Description
Microsilica gel B.C 121 is used as a mineral additive with special pozzolanic properties to produce concrete with high strength, durability and performance and reduced permeability. This additive compensates for the problems caused by the lack of aggregate filters and improves the performance and workability of concrete and by increasing the micron density of concrete, it reduces the volume of capillary tubes and increases the permeability resistance of concrete. Its properties and performance can be checked with ASTM 1240 and BS EN 12390-8 standards.
Applications
Production of concrete with high compressive, tensile, flexural and abrasion resistance. Mechanical and chemical.
Production of concrete resistant to environmental corrosion such as chlorine ions and sulfate soils, especially in the northern and southern regions of the country in structures such as docks and ports
Production of waterproof and impermeable concrete such as dam projects, large water storage tanks
Production of concrete for prefabricated parts production factories.
Structures exposed to wear such as bridge decks, parking lots and sidewalks.
Features and Benefits
Increase durability against freeze-thaw cycles
Increase durability in high temperature environments.
Increase durability in the presence of de-icing salts.
Reduce concrete permeability.
Reduce cement consumption and heat of hydration.
Reduce the destructive reaction of alkalis with aggregate.
Reduce carbonation and the resulting shrinkage.
Reduce the effect of destructive chemical agents.
Reduce the severity of reinforcement corrosion
Increase the electrical resistance of concrete.
Reduce the penetration of destructive agents such as chlorine and hydroxide.
Increase the adhesion between reinforcement and concrete.
Reduce the joints resulting from shrinkage.
Reduce the volume, weight and cost of the structure and increase the durability and life of the structure.
Increase the modulus of elasticity and rapid pozzolanic reaction.
Reduces water loss and improves pumpability.
How to use
The amount of consumption varies from 5% to 8% of the weight of cement depending on whether it is desired to increase the strength or increase the useful life and durability of the concrete. (5 to 8 kg for 100 kg of cement)
The microsilica gel product can be added to the concrete components both in batching and in the truck mixer. For better results, first stir the contents of the container thoroughly until the product becomes uniform and then add to the mixture in several stages.
Microsilica Gel B.C 121, also known as a concrete supplement, is an advanced modified concrete admixture based on concrete lubricants, microsilica, silica and polypropylene fibers. This material is widely used in the construction industry due to the numerous benefits it brings to concrete.
The most important applications of B.C 121 microsilica gel are:
Increasing the compressive and flexural strength of concrete: Microsilica gel significantly increases the compressive and flexural strength of concrete by filling the pores of concrete and creating strong bonds between cement particles and aggregate. This makes concrete more resistant to heavy loads and stresses and prevents it from cracking and crumbling.
Increasing the durability and stability of concrete: Microsilica gel significantly increases the durability and stability of concrete by reducing its permeability to water and chemicals. This makes concrete more resistant to damaging environmental factors such as frost, sulfates and chlorides and increases its lifespan.
Reducing the permeability of concrete: Microsilica gel significantly reduces its permeability by filling the pores of concrete. This makes concrete more impermeable to water and chemicals and prevents reinforcement corrosion and rusting.
Increase the workability and fluidity of concrete: Silica gel with its lubricating properties significantly increases the workability and fluidity of concrete. This makes it easier to pour concrete into molds and prevents air bubbles in it.
Reduce concrete cracking: Silica gel increases the flexibility of concrete, preventing it from cracking due to various factors such as ground settlement, vibration and temperature changes.
Reinforcement of concrete structures: Silica gel can be used to reinforce existing concrete structures against earthquakes, storms and other natural disasters.
Manufacture of high-performance concrete: Silica gel is used to manufacture high-performance concrete such as self-compacting concrete, high-strength concrete and waterproof concrete.
